GETTING TO KNOW IMMANUEL
Immanuel is known widely for his friendly and personable manner as well as his "unique" laugh which is likely to make a regular appearance throughout your sessions. Immanuel has been driven to the field of physiotherapy by personal experiences of persistent pain and illness in his loved ones. As such, despite his light-hearted character, he takes his role very seriously and is someone who will work very hard to help you achieve your desired health goals. He knows the impact health challenges can have on the lives of individuals and those around them. Immanuel is very empathetic and transparent and will always aim to give you an honest opinion. He understands that every client is different and tailors each session to the needs of the individual.
Hi my name is Jeanne.
If you are here, you are likely seeking some support for a significant challenge or may simply want to deepen your understanding of yourself as an individual in order to improve an area of your life. It can be extremely daunting to reach out and take that first step, particularly when this involves speaking to someone unknown and trusting them with your story. In my work as a psychologist, I aim to be open, compassionate and respectful of the unique experiences and difficulties of the many people I work with. I would like to share a little bit about myself in the hope it will help you in this process.
I have been working in psychology for over 13 years. Professionally, my experience includes a diverse range of roles. Within workplace rehabilitation I worked to support those who injured themselves at work to navigate the system, adjust to change and facilitate a return to the workplace. I also have experience in a number of different schools within the private system as a school psychologist in both primary and secondary settings. The larger part of my work has been within private practice which has involved clinical work managing a range of mental health and life challenges across the lifespan. I have experience working with a broad range of presentations from mood disorders, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, and trauma.
My aim is to connect with you as an individual, understand your history, current challenges and goals. I will support you in achieving this utilising the therapeutic skills that I have developed along the way. I adapt my approach for each individual and may draw from a range of therapies such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing and EMDR.
I accept private referrals and referrals under Medicare, Victims Services, Workers Compensation/SIRA and NDIS (self- or plan-managed participants).
I would love to hear from you, so please do not hesitate to reach out for a chat if you have any questions about me or my services.
Understanding the background and training of a therapist although important, does not determine the success of your therapy. Finding the right therapist fit for you is the essential component of your health journey. It can be a daunting and costly process to commence therapy only to find out that the therapist is not a good fit.
If you have any reservations, we encourage you to call us on 0422 853 193 and have a chat. One of us will be able to help you determine if we are the right fit for your needs. If not, we will do our best to point you in the direction of services that may be more suitable for you.
